Mollie and Samuel: A Brunch Wedding

Mollie & Samuel – 3/11/2017 at Vintage Villas

Mollie and Samuel were one of the sweetest couples I’ve encountered thus far. I’m not sure I have ever been hugged so much by a couple before. Vintage Villas was a destination wedding for the young couple, hailing from Houston, Texas. Friends and family gathered on a gloomy Saturday morning for their dream brunch wedding. Mollie & Samuel didn’t let the cloudy sky damper their day. We even had to make a rain call only an hour before the ceremony. Mollie made an executive decision to keep the ceremony outdoors, despite the chance of rain. For Mollie, the view of the lake was worth the risk of rain. The decision paid off, as it didn’t rain until after the wedding was already over. The weather was truly on their side that morning.

Mollie was a true DIY bride and put a lot of special touches into her wedding day. Details included a pallet of family photos, a bible where guests could highlight and initial their favorite passages, a homemade ring toss game & a date jar where guests wrote their favorite date ideas down for the couple.

The style of Mollie & Samuel’s wedding was very laid back. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a brunch bar with mimosas & bloody mary’s and yard games, including corn hole, connect four, jenga & the homemade ring toss game. After cocktail hour, guests were invited inside for brunch. The couple was announced in and went straight into their first dance as a married couple. After a quick prayer from the bride’s father, brunch was served.

The rest of the early afternoon was spent with some photo booth fun, dances, cake cutting and the shoe game, while guests enjoyed their cake. Never heard of the shoe game? The bride & groom are asked a series of questions about themselves & hold up their shoe to answer. It’s something interactive to do with your guests & fun! After the bouquet & garter toss, guests lined up at the door & blew bubbles as the couple exited! The bride & groom departed happier than ever, excited for their next chapter as husband & wife.

From the entire Eclipse team, we wish them a happy marriage!
