Allison + Erics: Twin Creeks Country Club

Some days as a coordinator, it's the easiest call to make a rain plan. Why? Because before you walk out the door it's pouring outside. However, on days like Allison and Eric's Twin Creeks Country Club Wedding, you're teased with a sunny sky for more than half the day.

Allison's Dad was convinced that the rain had already blown through, however, an hour before the ceremony, he looked at me and said “Well we'll do whatever you think”. It wasn't raining at that point and the forecasters really were saying that all the rain should have passed by now. I couldn't fit a funny feeling though and decided we'd start moving all the chairs from the idealic ceremony set up featuring a 20' rustic fireplace to the patio area that would eventually become our dance floor. 20 minutes later, it began to pour buckets and didn't let up until the ceremony was almost over. Reason #156186 to hire a coordinator!

Plan B turned out to be just as gorgeous with the untouched Hill Country Views in the background. Allison looked stunning in her mermaid fit gown and side pony and Eric looked so handsome in his Marine uniform. The two married under a giant monogram of their names that later served as a guest sign in and is now hanging in their house. The bride's look was perfected by the team at Lauren Lumsden Hair and Make Up.

The two had a good number of family members and friends who had passed away so next to them during the ceremony was a heartfelt memory table complete with a candle and name card for each person.

Cocktail hour overlooked the golf courses at Twin Creeks and dinner featured some delectable Southern Cooking items. Each guest's table setting had a cookie favor placed on it. The cookies came from a professional baker, Cookies by Callie, who was also a childhood friend of the bride's.

Most of the centerpieces were put together by the Mother of the Bride, Allison and her Maid of Honor. Some featured peacock feathers to keep with their teal, peacock blue and white color palette. The bridesmaid's bouquets from HEB Blooms were later re-purposed as centerpieces as well. The couple had custom table runners made to match her bridesmaid's dresses from Marquee Rentals.

Speaking of peacock, the stand out of the night (besides the bride) was the amahzziiing cake ombre by Michelle's Patisserie. I don't even want to guess how many hours it took her to make all those rosets on each tier. Premier Entertainment Group provided a great mix for the night that kept everyone dancing.

All the images were captured beautifully by Joslyn Holtfort Photography. The couple left at the end of the night in a town car from 4 Leaf Limo where they stayed at Travaasa Resort and honeymooned later on a cruise to the Carribean.
