Some wedding days feel effortless — not because they happen by chance, but because months of thoughtful planning, clear communication, and a trusted vendor team come together seamlessly. Maggie and Ryne’s November wedding at The Mansion at ColoVista in Bastrop, Texas was a perfect example of that kind of intentional celebration.

From the earliest design conversations to the final private last dance, our team at Eclipse Event Co. worked closely with Maggie and Ryne to create a wedding day that felt elevated, warm, and deeply personal. Set against the sweeping Hill Country landscape, their celebration balanced refined design with relaxed moments, meaningful traditions, and just the right amount of fun.

A Thoughtfully Planned Wedding Weekend in Bastrop, Texas
Maggie and Ryne envisioned their wedding weekend as a true guest experience — one that began well before the ceremony and flowed effortlessly from start to finish. We kicked off the celebration with a welcome party in downtown Austin, coordinating guest transportation through Charter Up, Let’s Roll ATX, and Austin Party Bus to ensure everyone could relax and enjoy the evening without logistics getting in the way.
The following day, guests arrived at The Mansion at ColoVista, a Hill Country venue known for its timeless architecture, expansive lawns, and iconic oak trees. With a detailed timeline and full-service planning in place, our team guided the day from early morning preparations through the final send-off, allowing Maggie and Ryne to stay fully present and enjoy every moment.

A Calm and Joyful Start to the Wedding Day
The wedding morning began with hair and makeup services by Project Artistry, who worked with Maggie and her bridal party across the morning and early afternoon. Their polished, natural approach complemented the overall design vision and ensured the bridal party felt confident and camera-ready for the full day ahead.
While Maggie and her bridesmaids prepared in the cottages at ColoVista, Ryne and his groomsmen enjoyed a relaxed morning in the Groom’s Room — a balance we always aim for when designing wedding-day flow.
Behind the scenes, our Eclipse Event Co. team began placing personal décor throughout the property, thoughtfully styling everything from welcome signage and seating charts to bar details, disposable cameras, and sentimental items provided by the couple. Each element was intentionally layered to feel cohesive while still personal to Maggie and Ryne.

A Romantic First Look in the Rose Garden
One of the most meaningful moments of the day was Maggie and Ryne’s first look in the Rose Garden. We intentionally built this moment into the timeline to give them space to connect privately before the ceremony — a pause in the day that often becomes one of our couples’ favorite memories.
Captured beautifully by Mylah Renae Photography, the first look set a calm, emotional tone for the afternoon. The couple was later joined by their dog, Leia, for portraits — a detail we loved helping incorporate throughout the day and one that added a heartfelt, personal layer to their photos.

A Live-Music Ceremony Under the Oaks
At 4:00 PM, guests gathered beneath one of ColoVista’s signature oak trees for Maggie and Ryne’s outdoor ceremony. We worked closely with Jo.An Floral Design to create a ceremony arch that felt organic and romantic, featuring rich burgundy blooms, soft whites, and lush greenery that complemented the natural setting.
One of the standout elements of the ceremony was the live music by Thomas Ramsay Music. Each song selection was thoughtfully chosen and performed live, creating an emotional, immersive experience for both the couple and their guests. Maggie’s entrance to “I’m Gonna Love You” by Cody Johnson remains a favorite moment for our team. Officiated by Will Nelson, the ceremony struck the perfect balance of heartfelt and joyful — concluding with a celebratory Fireball toast that felt uniquely “Maggie and Ryne” and set the tone for the evening ahead.

An Elevated Cocktail Hour Experience Inside the Mansion
Following the ceremony, guests transitioned upstairs for cocktail hour inside the Mansion. The Mansion at ColoVista’s bartending team began passing signature cocktails, including Palomas, Old Fashioneds, and Maggie’s favorite Peggles (Carajillos). Live music continued with Thomas Ramsay Music, who seamlessly transitioned from ceremony to cocktail hour, while Verde’s Mexican Parrilla provided passed and stationed appetizers. The menu — featuring bacon-wrapped quail bites, queso, fresh chips, and salsa — offered elevated comfort food that felt both indulgent and approachable. This portion of the evening allowed guests to mingle, explore the Mansion, and enjoy the setting while we finalized reception details outside.

Reception Design: Romantic, Warm, and Guest-Focused
As golden hour approached, guests were guided to the lawn for the reception. We partnered with Monarch Event Rentals to create a dynamic layout that blended vineyard tables, round guest tables, and highboys, encouraging movement and conversation throughout the evening.
Design highlights included:
Clear bud vases with white blooms
Floating candles and votives for added warmth
Natural wood textures paired with soft linens
To elevate the space as the sun set, Altared Weddings installed custom café lighting throughout the lawn, creating a warm, inviting glow that carried the reception well into the night.
The sweetheart table was framed with repurposed ceremony florals — a sustainable design choice that also helped visually anchor the space.

A Sunset Reception Full of Energy and Meaning
The reception officially began with high-energy introductions led by Fullscope Entertainment, who kept the timeline flowing seamlessly while maintaining an upbeat, celebratory atmosphere.
Maggie and Ryne shared their first dance to “Best Friend” by Tim McGraw, surrounded by sparklers and the people they love most — a moment that perfectly captured the tone of the evening.
Dinner service followed, with Verde’s Mexican Parrilla serving a generous buffet featuring fajitas, enchiladas, cilantro lime rice, black beans, and all the classic toppings. The relaxed, family-style feel of the meal encouraged guests to linger, connect, and enjoy the evening at their own pace.

Heartfelt Toasts, Packed Dance Floor, and Late-Night Surprises
As the night continued, toasts from the Maid of Honor, Best Man, and Maggie’s father brought laughter and happy tears. Parent dances followed, creating some of the most emotional moments of the evening.
Once the dance floor officially opened, Fullscope Entertainment kept it packed. Glow sticks, hats, and flip-flops were added to the mix, encouraging guests to fully embrace the celebration.
Later in the evening, Verde’s Mexican Parrilla surprised guests with freshly fried churros, while the bartending team assisted with a champagne tower inside the Mansion — a standout moment that felt celebratory without being overly formal.
Late-night pizza capped off the night before Maggie and Ryne shared a private last dance to “Forever to Go” by Chase Rice, a quiet, intentional ending to a full and joyful day.

A Hill Country Wedding Designed with Intention
Maggie and Ryne’s wedding day was a beautiful reflection of what’s possible when thoughtful planning, intentional design, and a collaborative vendor team come together. From live music moments and personalized details to a timeline that allowed space for both emotion and celebration, their day felt effortless — while being anything but accidental.
We were honored to plan and design this unforgettable celebration at The Mansion at ColoVista and to walk alongside Maggie and Ryne throughout their wedding journey.
