Allyson + Brandon: Farm Fresh Wedding

What started out initially as a farm to table wedding inspiration turned into a wedding with laid back elegance and the stunning Texas Hill Country serving as the backdrop.

Years ago, Brandon spotted Ally as she walked by, and he even joked to his brother that he was going to go ask "that girl" out. Well, he did, and they never stopped dating!

The wedding was held on an authentic organic farm. Montesino Ranch is a full time farm that does about 10 weddings per year. Their ceremony space almost looks as though you're in the hills of Napa Valley, but you're actually in the heart of Central Texas. The bride wore an Essence of Australia Dress from Houston Bridal Galleria. Bridesmaids dresses were BCBG. Hair and Makeup came from Salon MINK.

The ceremony was on a gorgeous hilltop that was about a half mile away from the reception space so Brandon and Ally rented school buses from Lonestar Party Buses to transport everyone from the pre-ceremony cocktail area to the gorgeous hilltop pavilion.

The couple chose a working organic farm intentionally because the groom is a chef and really appreciates amazing food, and that includes making sure that he utilizes as many local, organic and grass-fed ingredients as possible. They really played up the theme by hiring Kitsch Event Styling to incorporate vegetables into the floral centerpieces, and by adding fresh potted herbs to the table decor (which were crafted by the bride herself)!

The couple played with a palette of lavenders, purples, greys, and lots of amazing greenery. They really wanted a natural, organic feel to the decor, which was accomplished by using lots of greenery, wooden wreaths, farm tables, weathered wooden chairs, rustic festoon lighting, and organic fabrics by Marquee Linens. Every last detail was in order, even down to the recyclable bamboo dinner/cake plates and utensils they used. Floral centerpieces had some fun surprise elements, like artichokes, purple cabbage, and fresh herbs! If there was a theme to this wedding, we would have to call it an authentic Farm Fresh wedding!

Scripted Ever After was able to laser cut a beautiful cutout of the couple's initials to decorate the side of the barn where dinner took place. All the gorgeous images of the day were captured by Two Pair Photography.

Brandon is a chef at Qui Restaurant in East Austin. Known for their funky menu in a very modern, upscale setting, their sister restaurant, East Side King, is just as funky with a very much laid back vibe vs the higher end Qui. Brandon chose East Side King as their caterer for the evening and the moment the eclectic Food Truck rolled through the gates of the venue, everyone knew they were in for a delicious treat. Passed appetizers during cocktail hour included Peanut Butter Curry Buns and the dinner buffet included freshly fried to perfection chicken sliders and Beet Home Fries.

For dessert, guests had cake from Sweet Treets Bakery. Brandon and Ally had panthers as cake toppers to represent their new Pride! They decided on a petite cake for display with a simple, white buttercream whipped design. It definitely fit in to their minimalistic but beautiful pallet for the wedding day.

Guests didn't waste anytime hitting the dance floor with the mix provided by Bryne Rock Mobile DJ. The couple even provided Go Pros from Rent a Pro, letting the guests serve as a videographer for the evening. There were some who took the traditional approach of a Go Pro on a selfie stick, but bolder wedding guests wore Go Pros on their chests and heads while mingling around the reception.

The couple Honeymooned later that week on the sunny beaches of Mexico!
