Cynthia and Michael: New Year's Neutrals
Cynthia and Michael wanted to have an intimate, upscale New Year's Eve wedding in Austin Texas, and the Four Seasons Hotel downtown fit the bill. The bride wanted a mix of lush greenery, romantic white and pink roses, and wanted to juxtapose it with clean modern neutrals in gold and silver tones to keep within the subtle New Year's Eve theme.
The ceremony was held outside on the lawn, and we kept the decor to a romantic minimum. Lush flower petals lined the aisle and lots of candles helped with the evening wedding. Being that it was in December, we had to bring in Ilios Lighting Design to add some lawn festoon string lights and a spotlight for the couple at the altar. The entire ceremony was held after dark, so needless to say, it was one of the most romantic settings I have ever seen!
The bride wore a modern minimalistic gown by Pronovias, and her bridesmaids wore navy blue velvet gowns and carried bouquets in ivory and peach. Epic Event Design really outdid themselves with the natural, modern bouquets and floral!
Cocktail hour was held in the foyer, where we utilized being in a house of gold linens, and set the sign-in table with a mono-botanical floral look. The centerpiece to the entire cocktail hour was a huge handmade tree that covered the escort cards that were draped from individual champagne flutes. Talk about classy!
Marquee Event Group provided some really cool decor, including a large silver and gray bar, and some amazing vintage lounge furniture. Everything was accented in silver and gold to add to the festive holiday theme.
Jerry Hayes lent his amazing talent to our pre-event setup for those classic room shots. The entire night was captured by Tim Waters Photo and Yellow Dog Productions videography, and the guests rang in the new year with Greenbelt DJ spinning the classics!
