Pampas Grass and Prada at Camp Lucy's Ians Chapel

On October 12th, 2019 at Camp Lucy's Ian Chapel.

Every now and then you will meet a couple that you have an immediate connection with, and you know that you'll be fast friends. For me, this was Kasi and Noah. They are the perfect picture of opposites attracting: Kasi is outgoing with a contagious personality, while Noah is reserved and thoughtful. Then a special moment happens between them where they connect and are the funniest people you will ever meet.

Noah deeply loves Kasi. It's evident that he has waited his life to find her and will never let her go. You hear it when he talks about her, and you see it in the way he treats her, spoils her, and when he cried as she walked down the aisle.

Kasi is one of the most passionate and selfless people I have ever met. Like Noah, she is thoughtful. She took time to think about what she would gift her bridesmaids and family. She also planned out every detail of her wedding to not only be a special night for her and Noah, but would also be a night her family and friends would never forget.

Kasi and Noah chose Ian's Chapel because of how beautiful the architecture is, but also because Kasi has wanted to be married in a chapel since she was a little girl. She never thought she would be able to unless she was married at a church, but she instantly fell in love with Camp Lucy's charm and that she could have her cake and eat it too with Ian's Chapel.

Remember how I said that they are the funniest people you will ever meet? Just before Kasi walked down the aisle, their fur baby, Charley Girl, graced us with her presence in a white Mercedes remote controlled SUV while the Pianist, Jeremy McBee, sang his rendition of Chamillionaire's Ridin' Dirty. Guests could not stop laughing the entire time that Charley Girl was riding down the aisle!

Kasi and Noah's Burgundy and purple color palette was curated based on their love of their Alma Matters, Texas A&M University and Texas Christian University. We added pampas grass for additional texture, and a must have for Kasi was candles, candles and more candles! Bella by Sara brought Kasi's vision to life with candles and pampas grass lining the ceremony aisle leading to a beautiful cross covered in beautiful floral and more pampas grass.

Being the lovable Italian she is, Kasi wanted to share her Italian heritage with all of her guests. Whim Hospitality crafted a customized menu for Kasi and Noah's wedding day consisting of Caprese skewers, ravioli, Alfredo rigatoni, and chicken parmesan sliders as a late night snack. It wouldn't be a true Italian meal without olive oil and bread, but Kasi didn't have just any olive oil, she had her family's authentic olive oil from southern Sicily.

From the beginning of our planning process, Kasi emphasized how much she wanted the reception to be a celebration all night long. One of her top priorities was having a band, and not just any band, Kasi wanted Matchmaker because she knew they'd bring the party! Guests danced all night long to Lizzo and Backstreet Boys, and as Friends in Low Places began a guest hopped on stage an sang lead with Matchmaker.

As a parting gift from Kasi and Noah, Whim Hospitality passed out the most delicious chicken parmesan sliders to guests just before they lined up for the sparkler send off. When all guests had left and the dance floor was left all to Kasi and Noah, they had a private last dance to In Case You Didn't Know by Brett Young.

It's not a real Gatsby level celebration unless there's fireworks, though. As a surprise to all of their guests (even their wedding party had no clue), Big Dog Pyro put on a gerb and fireworks display to send Kasi and Noah off to their honeymoon. Fountain sparklers lined both sides of the drive while Kasi and Noah exited in her father's custom vintage truck, then Kasi and Noah circled back to watch a huge fireworks show and say one final goodbye!
