Some weddings take a year or more to plan. Others unfold in a whirlwind that proves just how much magic can happen with the right team. Emma and Stephen’s wedding was one of those stories.

The couple had originally booked a beautiful all-inclusive venue for their May wedding, only to receive the call no couple wants to hear: the venue would not be finished in time. Heartbroken and under an intense timeline, they reached out to Eclipse Event Co. to help bring their dream wedding to life in just two months.

Adding to the twist of fate, Stephen’s mother had already hired Amy from our team to plan their rehearsal dinner at Lakeway Resort. When the wedding venue fell through, Kristi, one of the owners of Eclipse, stepped in to plan the wedding itself. It became a true high-functioning team effort. While Amy orchestrated the perfect rehearsal dinner, Kristi and the rest of the team worked seamlessly to produce a wedding weekend that felt effortless and elegant.

Lakeway Resort was already set to host the rehearsal dinner, and the property graciously agreed to host the wedding as well. Emma had always envisioned an outdoor ceremony, and while May is one of the busiest wedding months in Texas, the resort’s ballroom—with its floor-to-ceiling windows and sweeping lake views—captured that same airy feeling. Guests watched Emma and Stephen exchange vows bathed in natural light with the water shimmering in the background.

After the ceremony, the ballroom was completely transformed for the reception during a lively cocktail hour that took place outdoors overlooking the lake. In just one hour, our team and vendors reconfigured the dance floor, moved the stage platform, relocated floral installations, and dressed the tables for 250 guests. When guests returned, they stepped into a warm, inviting space filled with candlelight, lush blooms, and the promise of a night to remember.

The celebration was filled with personal touches. Emma’s brother-in-law, Robin Carrington, provided acoustic guitar music for the ceremony. Guests indulged in a stunning cake from Michelle’s Patisserie, along with allergy-friendly donuts from Angel Donuts in Lakeway. Laughter poured out of the Pixster Photo Booth, and DJ Stevens Slyter of Fullscope Entertainment kept the dance floor packed late into the evening.

What began as a wedding-day setback became a weekend filled with love, laughter, and teamwork. Emma and Stephen’s wedding was proof that with trust, flexibility, and the right vendor team, the perfect celebration is always possible.
