Modern Boho Chic Wedding at the Ice Plant Building

Earlier this year, Kristen and Tom held a modern boho-inspired April wedding at the Ice Plant Building. Not only was the wedding itself unique, warm, and welcoming, but so were Kristen and Tom!

These two are Texans turned Hawaiians since they both work in Hawaii now, doing work in the field of marine biology. They decided to come back to Texas to get married near where Kristen grew up, in La Grange, TX at the Ice Plant Building.

The best part of this venue was how well it fit with Kristen and Tom’s fun personalities. The Ice Plant Building is the definition of modern boho, since the design incorporates modern industrial vibes, succulents, warm tones, and an overall vacation feel. The rentals from Bee Lavish paired so well with the background, bringing in colorful furniture and outdoor games for guests to enjoy.

Selma Sosa Makeup + Hair Styling did a stunning job on the bride, Kristen, giving her braids and beachy waves for her hair, with natural glowy makeup. Julia Soniat Photo captured Kristen’s beauty, as well as the rest of the wedding, perfectly.

Meanwhile, Bloom Bar came in to prepare the floral arrangements, which absolutely nailed the boho-chic elements. Everything from the bud vases to Kristen’s hairpiece were full of the perfect colors and greenery to fit the wedding’s theme!

Once everybody was ready, Premier Entertainment kicked off the ceremony. Kristen's 4 little flower girls walked before her, looking especially adorable in their coordinated dresses and glasses!

Once they said their I Do’s and finished the ceremony, it was time for cocktail hour. Although this was a rather warm April wedding, Root Cellar Catering had everyone covered with the most refreshing of drinks! And the guests were more than excited for their food stations at reception.

Just as reception opened, Homestead Photo Booth was ready for action! Everyone had a blast using up all of their little props in all their boho-chic fashion.

One of the best parts of the night was seeing Kristen and Tom have fun with their cake from Best Little Cake Shop in Texas, which actually lived up to its name! Everything about the cake was amazing - the tones matching the walls of the venue, the added floral from Bloom Bar, the cake toppers, and of course, the delicious flavor!

To end the night, the dance floor was showered in biodegradable confetti with Kristen and Tom at the center of it all!

This wedding was one-of-a-kind, just how we like it! And it’s even better that we had such a sweet couple to do this for. Thank you to each of our vendors who did a top-tier job, and thank you to Kristen and Tom for working alongside our planner, Kelsey, to put on such a great wedding!
