A Colorful and Intimate Affair

Katie and Frank's love story began in a somewhat unexpected place - an improv comedy group. They became friends, and as fate would have it, they were cast as a couple in a play. The chemistry between them was undeniable, and they even shared a kiss on stage. After that, Frank mustered up the courage to ask her out, and the rest is history.

As the couple began planning their dream wedding, they knew they wanted a venue that reflected their personalities and love for casual intimacy, great food, and fun. They fell in love with Malverde, a venue that offered all of these elements, and more. They envisioned a colorful ambiance, strings in the background, and a lush foliage romantic feel for the flowers. And of course, they couldn't forget their most important request - a marching band.

On May 15, 2022, in Austin, Texas, Katie and Frank exchanged vows at the Courthouse in a beautiful and intimate ceremony. Erin Holsonback from An Indoor Lady captured every moment of the special day, creating lasting memories for the couple and their loved ones. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests headed to Malverde for the reception.The most memorable moment of the day was the marching band. As the couple walked down the street, the band played lively music, and guests joined in the back of the march, clapping and cheering for the couple. Even the band itself did a little riff when the couple shared their first kiss.

The dining room and balcony of Malverde had been transformed into a welcoming and elegant space for the reception, with rentals from Premiere Events helping to create the perfect ambiance. The family-style dinner, provided by the venue, added to the warm and connected feeling of the day, as guests were able to enjoy a long table and delicious food. The toasts were perfect and even had some funny moments from their friends who did improv.

The couple was thrilled with the vendors who brought their vision to life. Malverde was exceptional, with attentive staff who catered to their needs, while Big Wy's Brass Band provided a fun experience for everyone. Exquisite Petals nailed Katie's vision for the flowers, while Scripted Ever After created the perfect signage to enhance the ambiance of the day. And the wedding cake from Michelle's Patisserie was not only delicious but also beautifully crafted, incorporating their love for their cats.

Looking back on their special day, Katie and Frank couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. They were grateful to have had Cherese from Eclipse Event Co. plan and oversee the day's activities, ensuring that every detail of the wedding was executed to perfection. The day was full of love, laughter, and memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.
