Erin and Scott had traveled the world together while dating but when they decided to get married, they didn't want to pack up and leave. Rather, they wanted all their closest friends and family to travel to Austin and stay together in one place where they could celebrate all weekend.

Austin Wedding at Asante: but it wasn't always!

Five months before their November 2024 wedding, we were all part of a call no one wants to receive: their wedding venue and their wedding lodging was no longer available. Erin had to calmly walk out of the room to compose herself as their dream wedding vision was temporarily disrupted.

In total, from what I can count over the 10 years we've been doing weddings at Eclipse Event Co., this is at least the fifth or so couple who's had to change venues (there was a surge afterwards where we had to take on three couples in just in May 2025 alone who lost their venue). That being said, I could not imagine being a couple stranded with no venue without a planner to help you navigate their network in a speedy manner, knowing already without having to Google anything, which venues will be the exact same fit in a similar aesthetic and are available for the same wedding date.

Thankfully there were two main contenders, but the winner was Asante. I'd like to describe it as the Animal Kingdom Lodge of Austin. It's cozy yet elevated. It's charming yet breathtaking. And it was exactly what Erin + Scott needed.

Their original venue had in house catering so we had to source a new option. Hank's Catering was perfect as we all got to have a fun dinner together at their restaurant and turn that into a delicious meal for their friends and family.

Their friend Allison had just started her company Swim Club Floral and she did a fantastic job with warm fall tones but also using orange marigolds and candles for the ofrenda that the couple created. It was the weekend of Dia de los Muertos and it looked very fitting for this as a way to elevate their Memorial Table. I'm excited to say we're working with Allison again this upcoming March!

It was my first time working with Photography by Annie and she was so laid back and easy going, it was great working with her and she was the perfect fit for this couple.

Erica Gray Beauty did the Hair and Makeup for our beautiful bride. Erica is one of the few Austin Area artists who will travel to do Hair and Makeup for weddings without a minimum so she's a very good person to know!

Erin's mom was very insistent on extra entertainment during cocktail hour so Artistic Caricatures was brought in to do sketches for everyone, which the guests truly enjoyed, especially the families with kiddos.

Keeping with the Dia de los Muertos aesthetic, Michelle's Patisserie drew inspiration from traditional, colorful Mexican Patterns for the couple's groom's cake. The bride's cake was the famous Chantilly Cake from Hank's.

Logan from DJ Byrne Rock's team did a fantastic job emceeing and keeping everyone's energy up on the dance floor.

Whim Rentals was our pick for Napkins, Plates, flatware, glassware and service linen needs while BBJ La Tavola was the right fit for all the beautiful patterned linens with the guest tables.

Capitol Tents works at Asante frequently so they were our rain plan choice, which unfortunately, we did need to move forward with the day before the wedding. If there's a 40% chance or higher, I usually make the call for a tent. The couple did portraits at the site of their Plan A Ceremony and Allison temporarily moved her ceremony floral there for photos, but then moved them back under the tent. As luck would have it, it did in fact start raining right when the ceremony started, but thankfully we had rented umbrellas from Miscellaneous Rentals for guests to use while walking to the tent, so every arrived and left the ceremony dry!

One of my favorite elements of the wedding, besides the couple, was the custom jacket and shirt our groom had made for this bride, with floral print on the lapels and "you + me" on the collar. So romantic, such a great nod to their love story, and a happy beginning for them both.

This post beautifully highlights how Erin & Scott blended fall warmth with Dia de los Muertos details in such a thoughtful way. The colors, symbolism, and setting at Asante feel intentional rather than overdone. It shows how good planning still leaves room for heart. Like Last Minute Assignments or even thinking about assignment help for UK students, structure matters, but meaning comes from care, not perfection.

This celebration unfolds slowly, layered with color, meaning, shared food, and moments that feed emotional wellbeing. A wedding like this needs rhythm and intention, much like sophia online class help suggests quiet structure supporting steady progress. The Day of the Dead elements highlight remembrance, balance, and a lifestyle rooted in connection, beautifully captured in this blog.

I read the wedding story about Erin and Scott’s fall celebration at Asante in Austin and how they kept everything joyful even after their first venue fell through, and they still brought in bright Dia de los Muertos details for family and friends to enjoy. I thought about a week I was buried in study and had to pass real estate exam online with late nights and pacing around my room just to stay focused. Seeing how they turned a stressful change into something beautiful reminded me that sticking with plans and adapting can make tough days feel special too.

I read the wedding posts, and it shows how Erin and Scott brought their friends and family together in Austin with Dia de los Muertos-style details like marigolds and an ofrenda table and even handled a last-minute venue change with calm and creativity. It made me think of a crazy week when I had to take my chemistry class for me because I was juggling school and work and needed help just to get through it. That story makes me see how support from others can make big events feel more joyful and less scary.
